ART & CRAFT - RESIDÊNCIAS REFÚGIO
In 2021, during the month of September I had the pleasure to be part of the group Art and Craft Refúgio in Lisbon, Portugal. During this month I was invited to help give some workshops to the group and help organise the festivals. I did two workshops on blind drawing and self awareness, book binding, clay, and also worked as a designer. Besides this, I helped the team create new design products for sale (book markers, fanzines, tattoo catalogue, tote bags). It was a very challenging opportunity, and very fulfilling to see the impact on the community of a project I am still very connected with.

The project’s activities aim to implement and share a set of participatory practices for welcoming and including people in refugee situations, in order to help adress the needs of these citizens and promote inclusive local development.
