SONS DO BAIRRO

Over the past three weeks, I’ve been immersed in the Zambujal neighborhood as an artist in residence for the summer program, Play(the)ground: informality as resistance by @maisunomaisum. As my creative journey comes to an end, I’m excited to share the final result of my research.

I’ve had the pleasure of leading workshops with the local children, where we explored the hidden potential of sounds created from everyday materials that are often overlooked or discarded. I’ve also delved into how sound can offer a refuge from the challenges of daily life. Now, I invite you to join me in experiencing this sonic tapestry reflecting this journey's essence. (Link here)

A special thanks to everyone involved especially Sandro (@eproducoes__ ) who helped me with the sound editing, and to all the kids and members of Cesis. @percursosacompanhados.e9g @cooperactiva1
